Welcome to Grade 5

Welcome to Fifth Grade!

During Reading Workshop, students will be focusing on literature and informational texts based on their current reading level. In Writing Workshop, students will be writing personal narratives and completing a research project.  Students will be asked to incorporate the grammar skills learned during grammar/ word study in both reading and writing!

Fifth graders will be utilizing the Everyday Mathematics series in math.  The students will be using higher level thinking skills and applying these skills to everyday math concepts.  This program offers a complete online curriculum as well as educational games!

With engaging S.T.E.M. activities, students will explore science while also focusing on reading and writing skills.

It will be an exciting year in fifth grade with lots of learning and fun!
