Educational Background:

I earned my B.S. from Penn State University--majoring in Elementary Education, with a minor in psychology. I also have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University.

I love teaching Kindergarten! I also enjoyed teaching 4th and 8th grades.

Personal Information:

I enjoy working on home projects, gardening, and taking family vacations.

I love animals! We have three long-haired cats and a big dog. Needless to say, I spend a lot of time running the sweeper!

Message to Students:

Our two favorite words in Kindergarten: "I CAN!"

When faced with a challenge, think and say "I can do it!" These positive thoughts really do make a difference.

Message to Parents:

I believe it's helpful to use "every day" events at home---shopping, visiting relatives, cooking supper, etc.--to teach various math and language concepts, as well as social skills.
